ANIMAL-LAND

Let's go WILD!

"So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man (Adam) to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. 20 He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. ”

Genesis 2:19-20 NLT

Car Ride/Table Talk Questions:

What's your favorite sea animal and why? What's your favorite land or flying animal and why? If you could live as any animal, which one would you choose? Why do you think God made so many different kinds of animals? God chose humans to care for animals all over the world but we haven't been doing the job at that. What are ways our family can help protect animals in our neighborhood and around the world? As a family, check out this website for more ideas: https://www.ifaw.org/animals

Royal Tips: Marriage and Parenting

Prioritizing Your Marriage Strengthens Your Whole Family

We all have a vision for our life—but does our calendar reflect it? If faith guides your priorities, they likely look like this: God, spouse, kids, work. But life gets busy—newborn exhaustion, kids’ activities, work demands. Before you know it, your marriage is running on autopilot.

Here’s the truth: A strong marriage isn’t just good for you—it’s a gift to your kids. They’re watching and learning what love and commitment look like. So how do we stay intentional? Add these 5 non-negotiables to your calendar before the month starts:

Daily Time with God – Even 5 minutes in the Word or in prayer shifts everything.

Weekly Family Meeting – 15-30 min to check schedules, budgets, and plans. Stress = reduced.

Weekly Date Night – No money? No babysitter? Just put the phones down and connect.

Weekly Family Night – Game night, movie night, or something silly—kids thrive on traditions!

Monthly Family Devotional – Over Sunday dinner or pancakes—faith starts at home. Use the verse above to start.

When you prioritize your marriage, your whole family benefits. Your kids feel more secure, and they’ll carry that example into their own future relationships. Strong marriages build strong families—let’s lead with love. 💛

Family Dinners

Magical or Mythical?

We’ve all heard it—family dinners are important. But did you know that kids who regularly eat with their families tend to make better choices, avoid risky behaviors, and have stronger relationships? That’s because family meals aren’t just about food—they’re about connection.

Of course, dinner isn’t the only time to bond. Family game nights, car ride conversations, and vacations all help strengthen relationships. But the dinner table is a natural place to pause, talk, and be present.

So how do we keep the world from creeping in on this sacred time?

Try a Phone Basket

Between work emails, social media updates, and quick phone check-ins, it’s easy to be physically at the table but mentally somewhere else. A simple solution? Create a phone basket.

Whether it’s just during meals or as soon as you walk in the door, dropping your phone in a designated spot lets your family know they come first. It’s a small habit that makes a big difference.

Think your phone isn’t a big distraction? Check your screen time stats. You might be shocked!

Let’s give our families the best version of us—not just the distracted, half-present one. 💛
