Would you rather paint or draw? Would you rather wear only the color red forever or where only the color blue forever? What makes you a work of art (unique)? Why do you think God made you/me that way?

Royal Tips: Marriage and Parenting

How to Make Weekly Dates Nights a Reality 🎉

1️⃣ Start small, start at home – No need for fancy dinners or babysitters. Once the kids are tucked in, it’s your time to shine. Even sitting on the couch counts (bonus points if there’s ice cream involved 🍦).

2️⃣ Calendar = Commitment – If it’s not on the calendar, it’s just a dream. Write it down like it’s a VIP meeting—because it is. 💕

3️⃣ Share the load – Take turns being the date night planner-in-chief. Write who’s in charge on the calendar too. No arguments = more fun!

4️⃣ Prep for the crazy weeks – Life happens, but date nights don’t have to disappear. Make a list of 7 fun, free activities (think movie marathons, board games, or dreaming up your next vacation 🏖️) and keep them as your go-to backup plans.

5️⃣ Put. The. Phone. Down. – Seriously, your spouse is way more interesting than whatever your phone’s serving up. Plus, scrolling isn’t romantic unless you’re looking at vacation spots together.

Make date night a thing, and you’ll feel like newlyweds all over again. ✨

Monthly Birthday Dates

You love your kids, but finding intentional one-on-one time can be tricky in the busyness of life. Here’s a fun and easy tradition that our family loves—and our girls never let us forget: Monthly Birthday Dates!

Here’s how it works:

  • If your daughter Elsa’s birthday is May 23rd, then on the 23rd of every month, set aside time to do something special with her. Maybe it’s grabbing ice cream, sharing Starbucks cake pops, or heading to the playground to practice her "ice powers." ❄️
  • If her sister Anna’s birthday is September 8th, then the 8th of every month is her special day for a fun activity with Mom or Dad. 🎠

Parents can switch off each month to make it even more memorable. For example: Dad takes Elsa in June, and Mom takes her in July.

And don’t stress if life gets busy and you can’t celebrate on the exact day. Simply pick another day that works that month—it’s the time together that counts.

Key Tip: Write it on the calendar! If it’s scheduled, it’s more likely to happen—and trust me, your kids will remind you!

This simple tradition creates special moments your kids will treasure forever. ❤️
