Disney World Vacation Planning Tip
If it's a busy day in Magic Kingdom, and you don't feel like waiting in another long line, check out the Pirates Adventure Treasure Hunt located just outside Adventureland between Pirates of the Caribbean and Tiana's Bayou Adventure. There, you will scan your MagicBand or ticket and receive a treasure map. Follow the clues in search of a hidden treasure around Adventureland. This activity is completely FREE! And it's a lot of fun for any adventure seeker. Special effects and surprises hidden along the way! Beware, there may be a lot of walking involved in your pursuit of each clue. To see this treasure hunt in action, check out the video below!

MARRIAGE
Me Hearty!
Week 1
"Not all treasure be silver and gold, mate."
Is your spouse your treasure? Many couples don’t always feel that way—life gets busy, schedules overflow, and time slips away. But in Matthew 6:21, Jesus reminds us: “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
Treasure isn’t just money—it’s your time. So here’s one simple way to guard it well:
Schedule your priorities (instead of prioritizing your schedule).
Before the week begins, look at your calendar and put the first things first:
- Time with God (if applicable)
- Time with your spouse (just 1% of your week = 1.68 hours = a date night or movie and popcorn night!)
- Time with your kids (family night counts!)
Then let everything else fall in around those priorities. When you protect your true treasure, your marriage, family, and life all grow stronger.

PARENTING
Ahoy, Captain!
Week 1
Every good captain knows—the treasure isn’t just gold, it’s the crew. And as parents, our little shipmates are watching how we steer the family ship.
But here’s the rub: most days feel more like putting out fires than charting a course. Between homework, chores, sports, and screens—it’s easy for kids to feel like passengers instead of part of the crew.
So here’s one way to change that:
Give your kids a role on the ship.
Instead of doing everything for them, invite them to do things with you. Let them help make dinner, pick a family activity, or share highs and lows from their day. When kids have a voice and a role, they don’t just feel managed—they feel valued.
As Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, “Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” Guiding your crew takes time, but it builds confidence, teamwork, and trust.

Disney Trivia
True or False: Pirates of the Caribbean was an opening day attraction at Walt Disney World.
When Magic Kingdom first opened in 1971, Disney thought that guests wouldn't want a Pirates of the Caribbean attraction so close to the actual Caribbean even though it was very popular in Disneyland. But there was an outcry for it to come to Disney World, so Disney ended up building it and then it opened in 1973.
